The Tate Modern

We had a lovely trip to the Tate Modern on Wednesday to practise our work on cityscapes which we have been studying in Art.

Half term 5

We will be going to the Tate Modern to support our art work. Here is a picture you can practise sketching before we go.

This half term we are going to be studying:

Plays in Literacy;

Clothes in Spanish;

Databases in I.C.T;

Moving and Growing in Science;

Cityscapes in Art;

Bags in DT.

Half term 4

This half term we are going to be very busy in all our subjects.

In Literacy we are currently studying Explanation texts.

In Science we are looking at solids and liquids and what happens when they are mixed.

In Spanish we are learning about animals and will be learning to tell the time in Spanish.

In D T we are going to be making a pop-up books.

In R. E we are looking at different religious rituals.

Half term 3

During this half term the children have been busy in all of their subjects and working very hard.

In Literacy we have been writing Fantasy stories which we will be recording onto CDs and we have made the front covers during our I. C.T classes.

In Science we have been studying different properties of materials and talked about thermal insulators and conductors.

In R.E we have been looking at the festival of Holi and have discussed how it is celebrated.

In Music we have been looking at melodies and scales.

In Geography we are looking at how humans effect their environments and have been talking about big issues such as climate change and global warming.

In Spanish podemos hablar de la comida! (ask your children to explain!!)
